Hello there, friends! I am so glad you made it to my little corner of the Internet. My name is Meredith Cowser (Previously Crawford, I recently got married!) but feel free to call me The Artist Formerly Known As One Sheepish Girl if you so desire. ;)

This is the part where I am supposed to tell you “Who I am” while really only saying “What I do”. I’m not a fan of that format because, after a long journey of living that people-pleaser lifestyle, I can proudly say my value is not dependant on my career, the way I present myself on social media, or a list of things that I can “do”. Instead, I believe my value is based on my ability to be vulnerable and share a piece of myself with those around me. So began my journey of transforming from sheepish to social.

The incredibly unexpected door of social media and photography opened in my life about six years ago when I started blogging about my love of all things related to yarn. I taught myself to knit and crochet during my sophomore year of college. After a friend encouraged me to start blogging about my adventures as a fiber fanatic, I officially dubbed myself One Sheepish Girl and pressed publish on my first blog post. I had no idea what would happen after I stepped out in such a way. If you met me at that time, sheepish was a pretty accurate description of my personality. I was slow to speak and let fear rule my life. Sharing my thoughts and passions in such a public way was very unlike me, but I decided to go for it.

In that moment, I was finally allowing myself to pursue something outside of what I believed the world expected of me. I went through years of ups and downs like, getting a book deal, working too much, isolating, and letting One Sheepish Girl, something that started out good, turn into a burden I didn’t know how to carry. It wasn’t until I surrendered my life to the Lord, ultimately trusting in His plan for my life, that true change began to happen.

I now have the privilege of using photography, social media, styling, writing, and craft design as a way to mirror the story that is being written in my life. My true passion seeing potential where others might only see a problem and facing it head on through creativity, listening, encouragement, and ingenuity.

Let’s get social! I would love to talk to you about social media, photography, styling or anything and everything in between.
