Crochet Belt & Pot Holder Patterns for Gathered by Mollie Makes

Texans claim to have the ability to survive weeks of 100 degree heat without complaint. In reality, we complain, gripe, and shake our fists at the sun on a daily basis! Let me prove my own point and state an obvious fact right here and now...it is so hot outside! Nevertheless, even the summer heat can't keep me from my yarn stash! Cotton is my solution and savior this time of year.
I recently shared a few patterns in Gathered by Mollie Makes that are perfect projects for this heat! The first is a simple crochet belt pattern published in Issue 42. It matches perfectly with my current favorite skirt from Target! I was so excited to see my belt on the cover too!

Also, you can find this crochet pot holder in Issue 40! I love the colorful stripes and the unique, wavy stitch pattern.

I hope you give these projects a try! What are you working on to beat the heat? Do you like to use cotton in the summer too? Or if it is fall/winter in your part of the world, what cozy knits are you creating at the moment? I would love to see!
